New Year 2012 Ride to the Wall and Manila

"All is quiet on New Year's Day, a world in white is underway" so goes the song of U2. I took the chance to ride out to San Mateo and see what New Year has brought.
The first thing I notice was that thin smog, almost white wispy air. I rode out at 9am to let the smog clear.

Timberland Gate taken at 4pm
Timberland rest stop
Timberland sign, recognizable among the mountain bike community
Beyond the background is La Mesa dam QC, too bad the smog obscured it. Or maybe it's the cellphone camera

Amici - a new subdivision on land used to be owned by Rogelio dela Rosa
View of QC Ortigas area. Smog blankets the city
