My Life, My Tracks #39

It sounds cliche to say that music defines milestones in our life. I handpicked these songs that tell my life's story.

Track #39: Smoke on the Water
Growing up in the 70's and 80's was cool! Marcos was president back then, he ruled with an iron fist that kept crime to a minimum. Censorship in the radio was in place. People do not get to listen to rock music a lot. Imported long-playing albums (that's what they call them before mp3's) are very expensive. A few people have access to 8 track players. But when compact cassettes became available and cheap, it gave rise to bootleg reproductions. This song is one of those often reproduced. Rock on!
